1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC ("Carroll Law," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of https://www.mpclaw.legal, any landing pages, forms, chat features, and other online services we operate (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, submitting a form, or communicating with us through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.mpclaw.legal/privacy-policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Section 14 explains how any dispute between us would be handled, including that claims are brought on an individual basis and not as part of a class action.
These Terms govern your use of the Site only. Any legal services we perform for you are governed by the separate written engagement agreement we provide to you, which controls over these Terms in the event of a conflict regarding those services.
2. Definitions
- "You," "your," "user," and "visitor" mean any person who accesses or uses the Site.
- "Content" means all text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, audio, data, software, page layouts, and other material displayed on or made available through the Site.

4. The Site, Consultations, and Service Requests
The Site provides information about Carroll Law and allows you to request information, consultations, appointments, or Services. Submitting a request through the Site is an inquiry, not a purchase, and does not create a contract for Services or an attorney-client relationship. Any fees, estimates, and availability discussed on or provided through the Site are for informational purposes, are subject to change, and are not binding until confirmed by us in a signed written engagement agreement. We may decline any request in our discretion, including where a conflict of interest exists. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site accurate but do not guarantee that descriptions or other Content are complete, current, or error-free.
Information on the Site is general in nature and is not legal advice tailored to your situation. See Section 11 and the Notice Regarding Legal Information and Attorney Advertising in Section 20.
5. Intellectual Property and Limited License
The Site and all Content are owned by Carroll Law or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. The Carroll Law and MPC Law names, logo, and all related names, logos, service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC or its affiliates or licensors. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site and Content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with considering or obtaining our Services. You may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages for that purpose, provided you keep all copyright and proprietary notices intact. Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any Content, or use any Content for commercial purposes, without our written consent.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or impersonate any person or entity;

- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, our systems, or any connected network, or probe, scan, or test their vulnerability;
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or engage in denial-of-service attacks or other conduct that disrupts the Site;
- Send unsolicited advertising or spam through any Site feature, or use the Site to market your own goods or services;
- Use the Site to harass, threaten, defame, or violate the privacy or rights of any person, including our attorneys and staff;
- Frame, mirror, or deep-link to the Site in a manner that misrepresents its source, or use our trademarks in metatags or hidden text;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of any software forming part of the Site.
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including blocking access and cooperating with law enforcement, against anyone who violates this Section.
7. User Content, Reviews, and Testimonials
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify (for length or clarity), publish, display, and distribute that User Content in connection with operating and promoting our practice, in any media now known or later developed, except that we will display your name, likeness, or the content of a private message as a public testimonial only with your separate permission.
You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content; (b) it is accurate and reflects your honest experience; (c) it does not infringe any third party's intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights; and (d) it is not defamatory, obscene, unlawful, or harmful. We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, edit, or remove User Content at any time for any reason.
Reviews. We value honest feedback. We do not offer compensation in exchange for positive reviews, we do not suppress or selectively publish reviews based on their rating, and we do not post reviews written by anyone who has not actually used our Services. If we ever provide an incentive for a review, we will require the reviewer to disclose it, and reviews we display that were solicited or incentivized will be labeled accordingly. Any reviews displayed on the Site are the opinions of the individual reviewers.
8. Electronic Communications, SMS, and Consent to Be Contacted
Electronic communications. When you use the Site, submit a form, or send us an email or text message, you are communicating with us electronically and consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically (including by email, text message, or posting on the Site) satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may obtain a paper copy of any electronic record by contacting us, and you may withdraw consent to electronic communications by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL] or 508-222-2200, though doing so may prevent us from providing certain Services.

9. Third-Party Websites, Content, and Tools
The Site may contain links to, or embed content and tools from, third-party websites and services, including social-media platforms, review sites, maps, scheduling tools, chat tools, payment processors, and advertisements. We provide these for your convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or terms of any third party, and linking does not imply our endorsement. Your use of third-party websites and services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies. Any dealings you have with third parties found through the Site, including purchases, are solely between you and that third party.
10. Linking to the Site
You may link to our home page provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal, does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, and does not suggest any form of association, approval, or endorsement where none exists. You may not frame the Site, use our logo or other artwork as a link without a written trademark license, or link from a website that contains unlawful or offensive content. We may withdraw linking permission at any time, and you agree to remove any link promptly upon our request.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAW OFFICE OF MICHAEL P CARROLL PC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; THAT THE SITE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR THAT CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
The Content is provided for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for legal advice specific to your circumstances. Any reliance you place on Content is at your own risk. This Section does not limit any obligation we expressly undertake in a written engagement agreement, and does not affect warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LAW OFFICE OF MICHAEL P CARROLL PC, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00). This limitation applies to the Site only; liability for legal services we perform for you is governed by the applicable engagement agreement, the Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct, and applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or personal injury caused by our negligence where such limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your use of the Site other than as expressly authorized in these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own negligence or misconduct.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14.2 Let's Talk First
If you have a concern or dispute relating to the Site, please contact us first at [CONTACT EMAIL] or 508-222-2200, or by mail at 89 North Main Street, Suite 7, Attleboro, MA 02703, and give us 30 days to work with you to resolve it. In our experience nearly every concern can be resolved this way, and both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to do so before pursuing any formal proceeding.
14.3 Individual Claims Only
You and Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC agree that any dispute between us will be resolved on an individual basis. Neither party will bring or participate in any class action, collective action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding against the other, or act as a private attorney general, and no court may consolidate claims of different individuals or award relief to anyone other than the individual party bringing the claim. If this paragraph is found unenforceable as to a particular claim under applicable law, it will not apply to that claim only, and the remainder of these Terms will continue to apply.
14.4 Where Disputes Are Heard
Any legal proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bristol County, Massachusetts, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and we each waive the right to a jury trial in any such proceeding. Nothing in this Section prevents either party from bringing an individual claim in small-claims court, or from bringing a complaint to a federal, state, or local agency, including the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers.
14.5 Time Limit on Claims
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim accrues; otherwise it is permanently barred. This limit does not apply where applicable law prohibits shortening the statute of limitations.
15. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe Content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at [CONTACT EMAIL] or by mail to 89 North Main Street, Suite 7, Attleboro, MA 02703, Attn: Copyright Agent, that includes: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Site; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. We will respond to valid notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
16. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. We may also block IP addresses and refuse future inquiries from anyone who has violated these Terms. Sections 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 18 survive any termination.
17. Accessibility
We are committed to making the Site accessible to people with disabilities and aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need information in an alternative format, please contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] or 508-222-2200, and we will work with you to provide the information or Service you need.
18. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede all prior understandings regarding the Site. They do not supersede any separate written engagement agreement.
- Changes to these Terms. We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Site and updating the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted by a notice on the Site for a reasonable period. Changes apply prospectively; your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Changes to Section 14 will not apply to disputes of which we had notice before the change.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force, except as stated in Section 14.3.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. Any waiver must be in writing.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or to any affiliate, without notice to you.
- No third-party beneficiaries. Except for the indemnified parties in Section 13 and the parties protected by Section 12, these Terms create no rights in any third party.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, utility or Internet outages, labor disputes, government action, or pandemics.
- Geographic scope. We control the Site from the United States and make no representation that Content is appropriate or available outside the United States. The Site is directed to residents of Bristol, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Barnstable Counties, Massachusetts.
- Headings and language. Headings are for convenience only. These Terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience, and the English version controls.
- Notices. Notices to us must be sent to the contact information in Section 19. Notices to you may be sent to any email address or phone number you have provided.

20. Notice Regarding Legal Information and Attorney Advertising
Attorney advertising. This Site is a form of attorney advertising and is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be relied upon as, legal advice for any particular matter. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Carroll Law attorneys are licensed to practice in Massachusetts; we do not seek to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where this Site does not comply with applicable rules, and nothing on this Site is intended to solicit clients outside those jurisdictions. Attorney responsible for this Site: Michael P. Carroll, Law Office of Michael P Carroll PC, 89 North Main Street, Suite 7, Attleboro, MA 02703.
No attorney-client relationship. Viewing this Site, submitting a form, sending an email or text, or using our chat feature does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Carroll Law. An attorney-client relationship is formed only by a signed written engagement agreement. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site until an attorney-client relationship has been established. Information you send before then may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege and does not prevent us from representing an adverse party. Statutes of limitation and other deadlines may apply to your matter; we are not responsible for any deadline unless we have agreed in writing to represent you.
Testimonials and case results. Any testimonials or case results on this Site reflect the experience of particular clients and depend on the facts of each case. They do not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or prediction of the outcome of your matter.
